GJW Monetization Policies

If you’re monetizing on Ganjingworld, it is important that you follow our Monetization Policy, as set forth below.

Follow our Community Guidelines

These rules apply to all posts and interactions on Gan Jing World, including rules against hate speech, calls for violence, sexualized content, and inauthentic behavior. Any content posted by publishers, creators or third-party providers that violates our Community Guidelines, including our policies regarding intellectual property, authenticity, and user safety, may cause creators, publishers or third-party providers to become ineligible or lose their eligibility to monetize.

Share authentic content

Creators, publishers and third-party providers posting content flagged as misinformation may be ineligible or may lose their eligibility to monetize. Creators, publishers and third-party providers sharing clickbait or sensationalism may be ineligible or lose their eligibility to monetize. Creators and publishers posting content reported to Gan Jing World as unlawful by an authorized entity may be ineligible or lose their eligibility to monetize.

Share original content

Content creators, publishers and third-party providers can only monetize content that they created or were involved in the creation of, or that directly features the creator, publisher or third-party provider. Content that is unoriginal or reproduced without making meaningful enhancements (commentary, parody, creative editing, etc.) cannot be monetized. Affiliate entity content distributed by third-party providers, such as multi-channel networks or social media agencies, may be considered original content.

Monetize authentic engagement

Creators, publishers and third-party providers can only monetize content consumed by their natural, authentic audience. This means creators, publishers and third-party providers may not engage in any behavior that artificially boosts or amplifies followers, views or engagement for the purpose of generating more revenue. This includes using automatic systems, serving up videos to unsuspecting viewers, manufactured sharing, which is coordinated distribution of content, often for compensation, and high volume crossposting. Pages managed by a third-party provider, such as a multi-channel network, are able to share content from affiliate entities, so long as the multi-channel network and affiliate talent, creators, and content providers are not monetizing the same piece of content. Content that solely exists to incentivize viewers for engagement (views, likes, comments, etc) is also prohibited.

Creators, publishers and third-party providers may lose the ability to monetize if their audience significantly consists of fake engagement, including, but not limited to, likes, follows, and views.

What We Check When We Review Your Channel

Our reviewers check content that best represents your channel against our policies. Since our reviewers can’t check every video, they may focus on your channel’s:

  • Main theme

  • Most viewed videos

  • Newest videos

  • Biggest proportion of watch time

  • Video metadata (including titles, thumbnails, and descriptions)

The above are just examples of content our reviewers may assess. Note that our reviewers can and may check other parts of your channel to see whether it fully meets our policies.

Our Payment Terms

Monetizing creators, publishers and third-party providers must comply with Gan Jing World's rules for making and receiving payments.

How we pay you

  1. Payment Account Requirements. In order to earn or receive Partner Earnings under these Base Terms, you must at all times have an active account associated with your GJW user account(s) (or such other payment method as approved by GJW).

  2. Payment Process. GJW will pay you any Partner Earnings due under these Base Terms within sixty (60) days after the end of any calendar month, so long as your earned balance is at least US $100 (or its equivalent in local currency) when payment is due. GJW may, acting reasonably and with notice to you, delay payment of Partner Earnings in accordance with applicable policies, including: (i) for up to ninety (90) days while it investigates whether all or part of any such Partner Earnings are subject to withholding or other measures applicable hereunder; or (ii) until resolution of any third-party disputes relating to rights in your Content.

  3. Taxes. All payments of Partner Earnings are exclusive of any Taxes (as defined above) that you may be required to collect from GJW. GJW will withhold Taxes if legally required. You will timely provide any tax documentation reasonably requested by GJW.

For clarity, GJW reserves the right to retain all other revenue derived from the GJW service, including any revenues relating to ads on search result pages.

Monetization Reductions

If we believe that you have violated any of our policies, we may also take any of the following actions:

  • Withhold or adjust revenues or payment

  • Limit ad revenue earned by your content

  • Suspend your participation in this program

  • Suspend or even terminate your channel and content

In addition, all payments are subject to being reduced to offset bad debts, refunds, charge-backs and other obligations relating to Use of your Content within sixty (60) days of the payment to which the bad debt, chargeback or obligation relates.

Only connect to entities that follow our policies

Monetized creators, publishers and third-party providers and those that have not been onboarded to a monetization product, may lose the ability to monetize if an entity connected to or affiliated with it has violated these policies.

Changes to the Terms

We may need to make changes to these Terms and the documentation referenced herein (including this Monetization Policy), for example: (i) to reflect changes to our Service; (ii) for legal, regulatory or security reasons; (iii) to prevent abuse or harm, or (iv) in our reasonable discretion to protect users, our Services and the general public. If we materially change these Terms then, except in urgent situations (such as preventing ongoing abuse or responding to legal requirements), we will provide you with reasonable advance notice and the opportunity to review the changes. If you do not agree to the update, you will be able to terminate the impacted terms or opt out or stop your use of the relevant part of the Service before the notice expires.

Suspension of Termination

You may disable monetization of your Content at any time. If you do not comply with this policy, the GJW Terms of Service, or our other policies then, in addition to any action we may take under the GJW Terms of Service, GJW may take any action it deems appropriate including: (i) immediately suspending monetization of all or a subset of your Content together with access to any monetization tools made available to you by GJW; or (ii) permanently disabling monetization by terminating your participation in the GJW Partner Program immediately, or, if required by applicable law, with prior written notice. In either case, we will notify you when we enforce this policy, the GJW Terms of Service, or our other policies.

Marketing

You authorize GJW to use your Content in any media for any purpose including but not limited to use in advertising, promotion, marketing, and packaging, worldwide.
